As Usual I Didn't Do Well With Plants This Year

But.
After I saw the cute movie previews for Timothy Green I thought
maybe if I planted my favorite cat
I would grow kittens in the spring.

What do you think?

He's a crotchety 14 year old male cat and he said
this is his opinion of kittens.

But I can dream can't I?  ; )

    1. Yes they are! I think old Voo is getting senile though because those planters are full of mud.

  2. I generally kill all the plants too. Maybe I'll try planting hedgehogs in my hanging baskets.

  3. You made it further than I did... you planted something! I don't even bother, because I will end up killing it. Since your luck doesn't look any better than mine... DON'T PLANT THE CAT!

    1. The SeaMonkey originally planted them. I may have accidentally looked at them or something ; )

  4. Mom's cats, preferred the outdoors to the litter box so they were ecstatic to find the pots of carefully planted bulbs I left in their garage one winter. Cute pics.

    1. Oh NO! Someone decided to stay in and 'find' our bath mat last night. They all pointed at each other so everyone is outdoors today ; )

  6. Well, your plants look just like mine (including the cat, although mine is a calico). Seriously, In May my plants look awesome but by this time of year they're just pathetic. Between the heat, humidity, daily rain, mosquitos (and now West Nile?) and those creepy humongous grasshoppers (do you get them too?) I just gave up. My herb garden has turned into a weed garden. I'll try again in the spring.

    1. Those muddy planters were once varieties of mint. And yes, giant bugs of every sort!

  7. I have a planter graveyard too. I hear they are all the rage in a zero water ecosystem. Lol. I think the cat would need water. Don't do it! Don't upset the balance. :-)

    1. And there's a predicament. This cat will only drink water out of my bathroom sink-while I'm brushing my teeth!

  8. So cute and reminds me what I used to do when my kids were itty bitty. I'd have them plant skittles out of the package and water.

After a week, I hid and dug deep skittles in packages. Then I let the red wrapper paper corner stick out of the ground. When they went to water, the red corners were peaking out and they JUST ABOUT DIED.

Good times, such good times. When I could make magic happen like that.

    1. You still can Alexandra. It just comes in different packages. Like helping pick out a corsage for the prom and handing over keys for first dates and sending cookies to college at just the right moment: )And then there are Grandbabies!!!

    2. Mommy: You never helped me with prom because prom is ridiculous. I did not even have a house key until I was 23 and not living there. Keys to the car? Ha!I have yet to receive my cookies, and human babies are disgusting. So whose children are you talking about?

    3. Biggest: Alexandra's. Because she has lovely sons that she can do these things for. Not obnoxious daughters.

However: I did, Buy you a dress for Homecoming because IT wasn't ridiculous-yet, Actually trust you with a housekey by the time you were 23, Key to the car-Drivers license? and you ate all my peanut M&M's yesterday. P.S. 4 legged babies can't go to Disney World. Oh! And get a room right on the Savannah so SOMEBODY can see the animals.

    4. Speaking of that, you may possibly have a grandchild on the way (NOT the gross human kind of course) Your son in law just found a newborn kitten at work. He is bottle feeding a kitten and plumbing at the same time...

    1. Yep. That pile of dead stuff off to the right under the citrus tree would be what's left of the tomatoes ; )
