Memorial Day Tribute
TAPS
Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.
Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor,
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.
Love, good night,
Must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.
Fades the light;
And afar
Goeth day,
And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well;
Day has gone,
Night is on.
Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.
Lights Out.
Please remember to observe a minute of silence for the
National Moment of Remembrance at 3 P.M.
your local time to honor our Nations Fallen.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I ever read the words to that before. So beautiful and so timely! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by ladies. with a history of family in the military and a child considering joining in a couple years, I feel it's imporatnt to think about.
ReplyDeleteMy niece and my nephew both had tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. They came home safely.
ReplyDeleteThank God.
Thank you for this wonderful reminder. My husband was in the military. I'm so lucky he made it through safe and sound. But I feel for those families who have lost their loved ones. So very very much. Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteAlexandra and Naomi: XOXOXOXO!
